The entire wig base is french lace or swiss lace. French and swiss lace wigs almost disappears along the hairline when applied with adhesive. It is natural looking and feeling. Each individual hair strand on european lace wigs is hand knotted through the lace to give the illusion that the hair is growing out of the scalp when applied.

How to Apply Full Lace Wigs
Supplies. Lace wigs Citrus Remover. Lace Cleaner. Lace Release. Walker Ultra Hold Glue. Mighty Tite glue (Use for touch ups.) Orange stick. 99% alcohol. Alcohol prep pads. Pure Acetone remover. Non flaking gel for baby hairs. Long metal or plastic hair clips (temporally hold lace hairpiece in place). Wig mannequin (place wig onto). Shampoo: Dove deep moisture intense shampoo, Kerasilk shampoo, Creme of Nature Detangling shampoo, Conditioner: Apply a leave in conditioner first to add moisture to hair on wig. Styling: For defining curls on full lace wig use Sebastian wet liquid gel, or John Frieda frizz ease serum.

Fill basin with warm water and a small amount of Dove Moisture Intense Shampoo. Gently lay lace wig in and allow water to saturate the hairpiece for a few minutes. Rinse thoroughly several times with cool water gently. Do not rub the wig or lace.

Apply generous amount of conditioner to the ends of the wig hair to the roots. Do not get onto lace. If some conditioner gets onto the lace don’t worry it will be washed away. Rinse the hair piece several times until no conditioner remains on hair or lace. Gently dry the wig by patting the hair dry with a towel. Place lace wig onto wig mannequin head and hold the piece on the top and gently brush from ends to the top of the unit. Allow to air dry or dry with hand held dryer on warm heat. Use a diffuser attachment on the dryer.

Cornrow your hair flat to your scalp. Cornrow braids must be neat and small. Big cornrows will look lumpy under the wig. Cornrow braids can be completed on African American and European hair. Just take your time. You can also wrap your hair in a circular motion flat to your scalp and put a wig cap over it to keep the hair flat to your scalp. This appears nice and neat. Place the wig onto your head to see where you want the baby hairs etc. Remove. Separate your baby hairs with no flaking hair gel if you want to leave it out to cover the wig. Make a thin part from ear to center of head to ear and comb baby hairs down towards your eyebrows. Clean your forehead with alcohol prep pads. Do not use cotton balls. Lace wigs can be applied with Walker Ultra Hold Glue. It is the best for lace wig or toupee hairpiece application and is long lasting adhesive glue. It will last for 6-8 weeks and has a strong hold. Apply to hair line from ear to ear and ear to nape of neck to ear. Press lace wig with orange stick into the glue around the hair line until lace is blended well.

Cut or trim lace that extends from the front of wig and leave a very small amount of lace. you can apply a second thin layer of glue for extra security. Only when the first layer of glue is completely dry. Dip orange stick into Walker Ultra Hold glue and spread a thin layer of glue around hair line from ear, center of head to ear. Wait 5 minutes. Now you are ready to apply the hair piece. Place wig onto your head. Make sure it is snug and a good fit. Press with comb down onto the lace and make sure it is secure along glued hairline. Allow to dry for at least 2 hours. Loosen your baby hairs and blend with wig baby hairs for a perfect look. Trim any lace on back of wig. Apply glue to nape of neck allow to dry for a few minutes and pull back of lace wig down onto glue and press with comb onto the lace.

How To Remove Lace Wig:

Spray Citrus Remover or a product called lace Release to hair line and nape. Make sure you have a towel around your shoulders so you dont get any product on your clothes. Reapply remover until lace gently lifts off. Do not pull or rip lace off. Lace should lift off very easily.

How to apply lace wig without glue:

Follow directions above except for glue. You will need thread and small C shaped hair weaving needle. Sew the unit onto very tiny braided cornrows along hairline. Use thread that matches the hair color of the unit. This is better with French lace and not Swiss lace.
